“Drawing Movies” are composed from series of sequential, original drawings, programmed into short, three or four minutes films. The advantage of translating static images into the kinetic is to move into the image details in continuous sweeps, move out again for a birds-eye view and create connections between images through slow dissolves. Connections are revealed through the overlapping of either connected or disjunctive imagery. The Drawing Movies enhance the possibility for new visual associations and the immediacy of unexpected juxtapositions.
